SLV Trout Unlimited March Meeting

Please join the San Luis Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Tuesday, February 25th, at 7 PM at the Alamosa Senior Center, 92 Colorado Avenue for a presentation by Dr. Rob Benson, Professor of Geology and Geosciences and Director of the Edward M. Ryan Geology Museum at Adams State University for his program Four Days, 3 States and Rivers, and 1 Lodge on a West Yellowstone Bucket List. Dr. Benson describes his program as “Drifting on the Madison and Henry's, wading the Lamar, and rowing about on Hegben Lake blurred 4 days in July, and gave us some pearls of wisdom.  Excellent guides managed to bring us to the fish, without ever letting us see what secret flies actually brought the fish out.  There is an odd usefulness to "God save the Queen" with the Yellowstone Cutthroat, and two bubbles are better than one.  Bison are more intimidating when they look down at you in the river.  Guided fishing takes some getting used to, and having a bear attack drill at the truck makes for an even more interesting day”.

This promises to be a very fun program with some great pictures!

As always the meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided and a prize drawing will be held at the end of the meeting.

Trout Unlimited is dedicated to the conservation, preservation, and restoration of North America’s Coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
