Mark Martinez

Square Peg Brewerks

Mark's brewing interest began almost 10 years ago with an interest in home brewing. In 2017 this passion morphed into a career with the opening of Square Peg Brewerks and has since continued to consume his mind most of the time. His interests outside of the beer world vary from outdoor ventures to books and movies. He believes that, time spent not working is best spent with family and close friends. Mark states that the Chamber seeks to develop Alamosa economically by equipping local businesses with tools to thrive in the complex hub of the SLV.

Young Professionals of Alamosa

I am very excited for the opportunity to serve on the Alamosa County Chamber Board of Directors to further build personal & professional relationships with fellow community members (on the board and beyond) as well as use my expertise and background to add a new perspective to the already successful BOD team. I also want to support the economic development of our town in a more official capacity, and I look forward to learning from the current Board about the facets to support this common goal. The Chamber and it’s BOD is already doing amazing things for this community

I need to give back to the community that has supported me over the years. I like what the chamber has been doing. I’d like to come along side and support where needed.

I’ve always said that ‘Business makes the world go round’; however without the needs of a community and connected dialogue between the two the world kinda stops. Lets keep it spinning.

Trinidad State College

I have a strong appreciation for the role a local Chamber plays not only in attracting business, but also in representing the needs of the local business community. In my role as a college vice president, I interact very frequently with local business owners and leaders, to ensure that the college is meeting their workforce training, educational and development needs. However, I also have a very strong background in business operations, across a variety of industry sectors and in the international arena. Thus, I believe that I can contribute greatly to the growth of our local business base , given my experience in the manufacturing, service and consulting sectors.
