Director of Marketing & Communications
Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000 Annually
San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, Colorado is seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director will be responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s brand and reputation and delivering value to our constituencies. This position will be intimately involved in on/off campus organization planning and development and building strong relationships within the community. The Director supervises the Marketing Assistant and a Marketing Intern. The candidate for this position will have business development experience, be a self-starter, and have the right balance of vision and execution.
San Luis Valley Health has been serving the San Luis Valley since 1927. In 2013, San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center (SLVRMC) integrated with the Conejos County Hospital Corporation, to create a new entity – San Luis Valley Health – which includes two hospitals and six clinics. With increased expansion of the service area, community outreach programs, and the addition of 3-D mammography, nuclear medicine, Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab services, oncology, urology, podiatry, ENT and much more, San Luis Valley Health is making it possible for Valley residents to receive “state-of-the-art healthcare, right here at home.”
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Develop and manage media campaigns that include radio, newspaper, newsletters, social media, posters, brochures, and other promotional material that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan
Develop marketing strategies and tactics for SLVH’s numerous service lines and providers
Provide representation at community events and with partners on community boards
Manage the website, social media, and digital board content, write blog stories and press releases, and monitor social media
Oversee weekly internal newsletter
Oversee organizational signage, manage the emergency notification system, organize community conversations
Be the government liaison and the public information officer for emergency preparedness and events
Ensure regulatory compliance
Manage the departmental budget

Open building maintenance position. Full-time 40-hour per week position plus additional time as duties require. Responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning office building, minor repairs, ordering building supplies, outside grounds keeping, coordination of contractors, unloading delivery trucks as needed and inspecting and maintaining fire extinguishers and first aid supplies and equipment. Must have knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment, knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Position requires a high school diploma, 2 years’ experience in a commercial janitorial environment and a valid Colorado driver’s license. Additional pre-employment testing will be done prior to job offering. Deadline is July 24th.
