Dendrochronology Tree Cookies

  • Adams State University McDaniel Hall, Room 214 208 Edgemont Boulevard Alamosa, CO, 81101 United States (map)

The study of tree cross sections, dendrochronology, can tell us about the environment that the tree inhabited.  We will learn the terminology used to identify the characteristics of a tree cross section and apply that to understanding how they can be used to study climate change and archaeology.  The full day will include both lab and lecture.
