Alamosa School Board member Heidi Richardson will be our speaker. Her primary topic will be the Healthy and Safe Alamosa Schools 5a bond campaign. The Board of Education and district administration are working on how to finance the Facilities Master Plan. One of the considerations is asking voters to approve a $28 million bond so the district can fund the plan. 5A would allow the Alamosa School District to issue bonds to make important capital improvements to Alamosa High School, Ortega Middle School and transportation facility and to continue ongoing maintenance projects at the elementary schools.
