Spark's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Alamosa County

Spark is a leading resource, strategist and partner that inspires, engages, mobilizes and empowers individuals, communities and organizations across the state of Colorado to become a driving force for good. We have recently added an RSVP Program. Since 1971, RSVP, one of the largest national service volunteer efforts in the nation for people aged 55 and better, has matched older adults who are willing to help local organizations on the front lines of meeting community needs. RSVP Volunteers will be enrolled to address food insecurity of residents by volunteering at local food banks, coordinating food distribution, packing meals to be delivered and much more!

Spark is excited to bring resources to 7 counties across Colorado, including Alamosa County, by recruiting, training and placing volunteers that are 55 years old or better into already exciting nonprofits needs. Our goal is to help communities thrive by providing services for those who have food insecurities and enriching the lives of the community’s aging population.
